      Title: HAZELNUT CHERUBS

  1 1/3 c  Sifted flour
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/2 c  Butter or margarine, soft
    1/2 c  Brown sugar, packed
      1 c  Raspberry jam

      1 c  Chopped Oregon hazelnuts
      1    Egg
    1/2 c  Sugar
      1 ds Salt
 
  Mix flour, sugar, salt and margarine with a pastry blender until all
  combined. Pack into the bottom of a greased shallow pan 10"x12".
  Spread with jam. Bake in a 350 oven for 8 minutes. Spread with
  topping, then bake for 20 minutes. Cut while warm.
